Kristen's family is one of my favorite families to photograph. Not only do they follow my style guide, but they come with fun attitudes, smiles and are up for new poses. Last year, we went to the State Capitol building, a local pub and a rooftop parking garage. The photos came out beautiful! This year we went to the park by their house in El Dorado Hills and again, the photos are gorgeous.
When you are trying to figure out what to wear for your photoshoot, I have some helpful tips:
Colors: When choosing colors for your outfits, I recommend selecting lighter, neutral tones and more muted shades like cream, taupe, camel or light gray. Aim for each person to have a different dominant color, and then tie in and vary the accent colors. Avoid thinking about “matching,” and instead think about what “fits” together.
(more about this on my style guide)
Ladies: dresses and skirts tend to look most stunning on camera because they really flatter the female body.
Gentlemen: A blazer, sport coat or jacket has the most flattering effect for men.
These are just some of the things I cover in my style guide.
Can't wait to see where we go for photos next year!!
