This is a very special time of year up at Apple Hill. The pumpkins are out, the apples are made into yummy treats for us and the trees are vibrant and colorful. Jessica and I met last year at her family photoshoot and we started a yearly family tradition to visit apple farms for her family portrait. This year we went to two locations to get these beautiful portraits. The first location was just on a country road and the second was at the Larsen Barn. Jessica got special permission from the owners to let us shoot here and her husband, Ryan reminisced about his childhood trips to the very same spot with his family.
This style of photography is called lifestyle, which means that the family plays with their kids while I take pictures. We do a few posed photos too, but most of the time, they are just interacting with the kids and I'm just shooting away.
So fun to see these kids grow up year after year!
